Autumn is here. I toured Bartow Pell Mansion, Turtle Cove and parts of City Island. Not a lot of birds, but plenty of sunflowers, red cardinal spikes, jewel weed, iron weed, joe pye weed. At Bartow Pell there are pumpkins growing on a fence along with big sunflowers that attract cardinals and goldfinch. I chased down a female common yellowthroat in many locations, and a marsh wren. There were a few great egrets, but not one shorebird! Very unusual for this time of year. I posted photographs of the plants on my pages. I also updated the butterfly page as well. I hope you enjoy! By the way, I am tweeting on Twitter. Please follow me for updates. DebbieBecker1 on Twitter.
