This is a Scarlet Tanager. One of the beauties of spring migration. After being quarantined in my home since March I decided to venture a block to a local park. It was raining and I was hoping the park would be empty. It wasn't. But upon arriving I saw a Scarlet Tanager glowing through the raindrops in the trees a few feet away. As I approached to take a photo I noticed another Scarlet Tanager right above my head and then turned and saw another bird literally next to me. Three Scarlet Tanagers in one close area. I felt it was a ray of sunshine on this bleak day and very serious time. I had to back up with my lens to capture this beauty. I had on two masks, glasses, hood and gloves. It is really a new way to bird.
