The warblers are here! But where are the leaves and flowers? The long cold winter has sent most of the foliage into a deeper hibernation. So spring will arrive all at once with everything blooming at the same time. This is climate change in action. In our life times we are witnessing history. It would be a good time to take notes on bird arrivals, bloom dates and migratory happenings. At NYBG we expect the usual great warbler fall out in May. In the meantime, we will be looking for early migrants. Join us at 11am every Saturday. |
